Luxury Bed & Breakfast Saint Peter's for your exclusive vacation in the capital city of Italy.

Michelangelo inherited the many schemes designed by some architects and engineers in the XVI century, and redesigned the dome of Saint Peter's church in 1547, taking into account all that had gone before. His dome is constructed of two shells of brick and rises from the piers on a drum. The dome is ovoid in shape, rising steeply and therefore exerting less outward thrust than does a hemispherical dome, such as that of the Pantheon. Michelangelo died in 1564, leaving some drawings of details and a large wooden model, that Giacomo della Porta subsequently altered in keeping with changes that he made to the design. The principal change was to raise the outer dome higher above the inner one.

Opt for a luxury Bed & Breakfast Saint Peter's, enjoy the comfort of an elegant accommodation in the heart of Rome.

You can visit Saint Peter's Basilica dome (entrance is not free, but it's worth it). You can take the elevator or the stairs, the latter being a bit cheaper. The elevator brings you to the bottom of the dome from where a spiraling staircase brings you to the top of the dome and there you can admire a breathless, impressive view of Rome and of the Saint Peter's square.

Only on bedandbreakfastroma.com the most stylish, luxury Bed & Breakfast Saint Peter's.
