A fine collection of apartments Pantheon, carefully selected to suit all tastes.
The Pantheon overlooks the Piazza della Rotonda, a rectangular square with a central fountain and obelisk. The square is located in the historic center of Rome, not far from the famous Piazza Navona and Piazza del Popolo.
Before the current Pantheon was built, two other buildings occupied the same site. The first one was built in 27 BC by the emperor Marcus Agrippa, and dedicated to the gods Mars and Venus. It burned down two times until in AD 118 emperor Hadrian had it rebuilt but with a totally different, circular design.
Many apartments for rent Pantheon are located all around Piazza della Rotonda, and offer fully-equipped, cosy accommodation.
Several Italian personalities, such as the artist Raphael, Vittorio Emanuele II (first king of a unified Italy) and his successor, Umberto I, are interred in the Pantheon, which also is an active church and a popular place for weddings.
