Wide choice of Apartments Borgo, accommodation for rent in the heart in Rome.
Borgo is the 14th historic district of Rome, it lies on the west bank of the Tiber and borders the Vatican City (Saint Peter's Square) to the west, the Tiber to the east, Prati to the north, Aurelio to the southwest and Trastevere to the south. Its coat of arms shows a lion lying in front of three mounts and a star.
Many apartments Borgo spread around the quarter, that includes a level part, which is made of the alluvial sands of the Tiber river, and a hilly zone, the clayey slopes of the Vatican hill.
The main roads in which most of the apartments Borgo are located are: Via della Conciliazione, constructed between 1936 and 1950, it is 500 metres long and links Castel Sant'Angelo to Saint Peter's Square, acting as the primary access to the Vatican City; and Borgo Pio, constructed under Pope Gregory XIII in 1565 and linking via di Porta Castello to via di Porta Angelica.
Although largely transformed during the first half of the 20th century, the Borgo maintains its historical importance as a forecourt to the Vatican City and is among the most distinctive central districts of Rome.
